ROUND 6 - DECEMBER 20, 2009

Round 6 was a lot of fun! So many great friends out there and the racing is just a blast! For team BRM OFFROAD we personally had a great day of racing and finished with a great season! Jeff Barrett started race 2 in the 40+ B class and battled it out with Ken George and Jeff Mitchell. The course was a new layout and the longest yet, it was great! Jeff B. killed it in one of the washes early on and had a ways to go to reel in Jeff M. and Ken but to no avail. In the end it was Jeff B. taking 3rd place and 3rd place on the season. Jeff completed 4 laps in 48 minutes, disappointed with his late lap fatigue.

Missy Barrett ran in race 4, the 30+ A class. Thinking she was the only 'A' out there for the day, she started with the 30+ B class. It turns out two late arrivals at the line were from the 'A' class. They got about a 30 second head start on Missy, but she was reeling them in by lap 4 but didn't have enough time to catch them. She finished 3rd on the day but also moved up from 5th to 3rd place on the season along with 1st place in Women's 'A'. Her battles out there were with Norm Graham on his LTR and unfortunately for Conrad Funke, his KTM had some late lap troubles. Missy completed 5 laps in 53 minutes and felt pretty good out there, excited for the new series in January.

Noelani Barrett was in race 6, the 4-6yr 50cc Stock class. This was her 2nd race ever and she did remarkably well with the technical challenges she faced. One of the downhills was actually really steep, but she did a great job controlling her quad and keeping herself under control. She also brought home hardware, but hers was the top box of the podium.

We are now getting ourselves ready for round 1 of the Arizona Grand Prix Series that starts on Jan 2 & 3, 2010. Should be fun and exciting.

We'll be posting race pix below asap.
