Thank you for taking
the time to check out our Southwest Off Road Racers (SWORR)
information page. This page is set up to inform you of different
organizations, agency's, or groups that are passionate about the
well-being of others. As we try to inform and educate others of the
harsh realities people all around us live in, we hope to raise awareness of
organizations that are in place to support people in need. We have
absolutely no affiliation with any of these
organizations (all are
501(c)(3)
orgs.), we are only attempting to generate awareness in an
effort to help others. If you, your family, or friends would like to
get involved, learn more, or need help yourself, please visit each organizations
web site by selecting their logo below. Visit our facebook page to
add comments or share info that others may find helpful as
well. Check out our 'HISTORY'

~ BLOOD:WATER MISSION ~
Copied from
the 'About Us' section of Blood Water Mission's site
-
Founded by the multi-platinum, GRAMMY
Award-winning band, Jars of Clay, Blood:Water
Mission began as a call to personalize the HIV/AIDS
crisis in Africa. The members of the band were
committed to share the often-untold stories: those
of creative, compassionate, hard-working Africans
bringing health, hope and healing into their
respective communities. Check out how a donation of
$1 provides clean water to an African for a
year. $12 allows a child to go to school rather than
collect water. $25 provides clean water to an
African for 25 years. Check
out their video for more info.
~ SHOW HOPE ~
Copied from
the 'About Us' section of Show Hope's site -
Established in 2003 as Shaohannah’s Hope, Steven
Curtis Chapman and his wife, Mary Beth initially
founded Show Hope out of their desire to see more
children find their way into forever
families. Though many families they talked to were
willing to adopt, the financial costs to adoption
were simply too high. In
honor of their daughter:
Maria's Big House of Hope is
dedicated to saving the lives of special needs
orphans in China by providing surgeries and medical
attention. This home offers the highest level of
care, enabling the children to thrive, and greatly
increasing their chances of being adopted.
Show Hope, Inc. is a 501(c) 3
ministry and your donation is tax deductible.

~ HANDS & FEET PROJECT ~
Copied from
the 'About H&F' section of Hands & Feet site -
To raise a generation of orphans who will
grow into men and women who will have a relationship
with Christ and be leaders in their communities. It
is also our vision to give people from our country
the chance to experience the mission field and
therefore be changed for the better. Hands and Feet
Project , a 501c3 non-profit organization, is a
children's village in Jacmel, Haiti that was started
by the band Audio Adrenaline in 2004 The land was
purchased in late 2004, and construction began in
early 2005. Our first little girl arrived in the
spring of 2005, and we now care for 40 children
ranging in age from 2 months to 9 years old.

~ BITE BACK ~
Copied from
the 'What is Malaria' section of Bite Back's site -
Straight talk about the number one killer of
children in Africa. Malaria starts with a fever.
Then come the headaches and the vomiting. If not
treated quickly, malaria can overwhelm the body or
even infect the brain and cause a coma. At this
point, malaria becomes fatal. Here are some quick
figures for you to consider: 350-500 million cases
of malaria occur worldwide each year. Malaria causes
20 percent of ALL childhood deaths in sub-Saharan
Africa. 90 percent of malaria deaths occur in
Africa—nearly 1 million people.
Malaria kills 3,000
children each day.
~ MALARIA NO MORE ~
Copied from the
'About Us' section of Malaria No More's site -
Malaria No More is determined to end malaria deaths.
A non-profit, non-governmental organization, Malaria
No More makes high-yield investments of time and
capital to speed progress, unlock resources,
mobilize new assets and spur the world toward
reaching this goal. Because America conquered
Malaria in the 1930s, most Americans think Malaria
is not a serious problem. Yet, malaria is the
greatest killer of children in the world, and
unfortunately the numbers speak for themselves.
Every 30 seconds a child loses
their life to Malaria. See how a $10 mosquito net
can change that.

between Air 1 (radio),

help feed and care for the hungry and hurting. Over
the past few years, Air 1 listeners have donated
enough money to provide over 1.5 million meals and

been greater. The average cost of providing a meal
at these participating ministries is just $1.96.
Whether your gift is large or small, you can be sure
your donation will make a big difference to the
hungry and homeless in your area. You also have an

Treasures Vision Statement,
copied from the 'About Us' section on their site -
We are a group of women who are rooted in
God, planted in His church, and are passionate about
seeing women break free from bondage. Our vision is
to reach women who are currently working in the sex
industry of Los Angeles, and to let them know there
is a God who loves them beyond measure. Our goal is
to encourage them through prayer, testimony, and the
word of God, in order to help them realize how
valuable they are. Our desire is that these women
would experience the breaking of chains and healing
of wounds through a personal relationship with Jesus
Christ.
~ INTERNATIONAL JUSTICE MISSION ~
Copied from the
'Who We Are' section of IJM's site -
International Justice Mission is a human rights
agency that secures justice for victims of slavery,
sexual exploitation and other forms of violent
oppression. IJM lawyers, investigators and aftercare
professionals work with local governments to ensure
victim rescue, to prosecute perpetrators and to
strengthen the community and civic factors that
promote functioning public justice systems. More
children, women and men are held in slavery right
now than over the course of the entire
trans-Atlantic slave trade: Millions toil in
bondage, their work and even their bodies the
property of an owner.
~ SAMARITAN'S PURSE ~
Copied from
the 'Who We Are' section of Samaritan's site -
For over 35 years, Samaritan's Purse has done
our utmost to follow Christ's command by going to
the aid of the world's poor, sick, and suffering. We
are an effective means of reaching hurting people in
countries around the world with food, medicine, and
other assistance in the Name of Jesus Christ. This,
in turn, earns us a hearing for the Gospel, the Good
News of eternal life through Jesus Christ. Our
emergency relief programs provide desperately needed
assistance to victims of natural disaster, war,
disease, and famine. As we offer food, water, and
temporary shelter, we meet critical needs and give
people a chance to rebuild their lives. Our
community development and vocational programs in
impoverished villages and neighborhoods help people
break the cycle of poverty and give them hope for a
better tomorrow.

'About Us' section of Hope & A Future's site -
In 2004, Hope & A Future, an Arizona
501(c)(3) nonprofit Christian organization, was
formed to continue affecting the lives of foster
children who have grown beyond the age limits of
other organizations. Not long after – in 2006 – we
realized our goal of providing our first summer camp
in Arizona designed for kids from twelve to fifteen.
Since then, we’ve grown with every camp and with new
programs that provide hope and a future to Arizona's
foster children.

~ SWORR HISTORY ~
As stated in our banner
above, the BRM OFFROAD family is passionate about promoting
awareness of the millions of children that live in poverty
world wide. Our newest passion all started shortly after
sponsoring our first 2 children who live in extreme poverty.
These children, and millions like them, live without
everyday basics, the biggest being CLEAN water. Just hearing
the stories of children motioning with their fingers towards
their mouth and tummy in a desperate attempt to be fed,
literally eating mud pies to put something in their
stomachs, scooping filthy water from an irrigation canal
full of bacteria and parasites to quench their thirst,
parents having to tell one of their own children there's not
enough food to go around. Our hearts went out to the
hurting, not just the children, but their parents and
community too. We have food and water and shamefully we take
it for granted. We wanted to change that. We want to get the
word out and give hope to those in need. We decided to form
a group, SW Offroad Racers (SWORR), to generate awareness of
the little things that can be done to give a child hope. An indescribable feeling
of excitement went through us. A feeling that is so much
more than the one you have when you finish on the top
block of the podium, this was a deep feeling from within.
Now we race to help our kids in Africa and all the other
kids throughout the world that live in poverty.
As we prepared ourselves, our
business, and our vehicles for our 2009 Labor Day race
weekend in Wisconsin a purpose and vision grew within us. It
started with putting graphics on our trailer and buggy to
generate awareness of various non-profit organizations that
are working to help the children who live in poverty, world
wide. We contacted Compassion International, Blood Water
Mission, and Show Hope requesting flyers to hand out at our
races. We printed banners to hang and stickers to give away
as well. We drove 4200 mile round trip from Fountain Hills,
Arizona to the north woods of Crandon, Wisconsin to race our
1600 Buggy in the 40th Anniversary of the World Championship
Offroad Races. This was the biggest offroad short course
race of the year and there would be thousands of fans on
hand over the course of the 3-day event.
On Friday morning all race
teams drive their race vehicles down the highway and into
the town of Crandon with the local community waving and
cheering everyone on along the way. The vehicles line the
town streets for the Crandon Parade, fun events and
competitions are held, great food and a whole lot of racing
memories are on display. While at the famous
Crandon Parade our buggy won the 'Bad Buggy'
contest. There were approximately 50-60 Buggy's and we had
absolutely no idea there was even such a contest until we
were told we won later that night.
As soon as we got home to
Arizona we contacted
Compassion,
Blood Water Mission, &
Show Hope and donated the money to them. The racing was
fun and as it turned out there were over 40,000 spectators
at the races. We handed out close to 100 flyers from Blood
Water Mission and some from Compassion... and that's how our
new vision grew. Please visit our
Crandon 2009 Race
page to see more photo's of our trip.
Our vision is to give every child the thing
they need most, a forever family through adoption. To
provide clean drinking water for every child in Africa. To
get others involved in sharing their love with another child
through international sponsorship.
OUR MISSION
is to generate awareness of these groups and others. By
creating awareness people will be able to see how much
prayer, a letter of encouragement and love, or a $5 donation
helps a person in need.
OUR GOALS
are to inform other offroad individuals, family's,
organizations, and company's how they can get involved and
give a child hope and help save a life.
If you would like to join
our group and help spread the word please add this page as a
link to your site, facebook, myspace, email announcements,
etc and email us a photo to add below -
SouthWest OffRoad Racers. We don't and won't sell your
name or email info. We're just trying to establish a group
of people who feel led in their hearts to spread the word
and speak up for those children who can't speak for
themselves. Thank you.
