ROUND 1 - JANUARY 24, 2009

Round 1 was a lot of fun. We both faired pretty well in our classes, but also have room for improvement. A few mental mistakes left Missy stuck in the desert trying to heave her quad out of a deep rut, but once she was rolling again she was able to re-focus and make a pass on the last jump to better her finishing position. Jeff got stuck behind a pile up in the desert on his slow lap, but had a lot of fun racing his quad again and is looking forward to round 2 in February.

With Round 2 just a few weeks away, both Jeff and Missy have decided to race an additional class. Jeff will be racing 40+ 'C' along with Open 'C', while Missy races Women 'A' and 40+ 'A'. Missy definitely has her work cut out for her, but with our family situation that was the only option to race in 2 classes. At least there's absolutely no pressure on taking first, just to have fun.
