PLACES TO RIDE - IOWA
We recently learned about Lakeview OHV Park, just south of Cedar Rapids, and are planning our first trip up there. We'll update our site as soon as we get back to share our experience and memories with y'all. Thanks again for visiting our site. Please let us know if you have a favorite destination in IA and we'll try to plan a trip.

LAKEVIEW OHV PARK, Solon, IA -
April 2025: We have an event to attend later this month and thought we would look up riding areas and couldn't believe what we discovered. Lakeview OHV Park is a State park that has 2 groomed tracks and their trails are groomed as well. More info can be found on their Facebook page.
This information is from Iowa Department of Natural Resources (https://www.iowadnr.gov/things-do/highway-vehicles/parks-riding-areas/lakeview-ohv-park):
The Lakeview OHV park has 160 acres of varying terrain. The park features an "A" level motocross practice track, a "B" level motocross practice track, an off-road utility vehicle practice track, a pit bike track, and two kiddie tracks. The tracks are designed to be used by both motorcycles and ATVs. The Lakeview OHV park offers something for everyone. From the beginning rider to the advanced rider, there is enough variety to keep things interesting for all skill levels. The park is open year round, with the exception of when weather and trail conditions do not permit riding.
Address is: 3788 140th St NE, Solon, Iowa.
We are excited for our mini vacation and will share our pix when we return.

UPDATE!! What a blast!! We arrived at the Park in the morning and glad we got there early. A lot of riders showed up throughout the day with a variety of toys, it was great to see. The trail/track entrance gate is said to be 64" wide, but looking at it, and at the SxS's that did squeeze through the opening, we knew our SxS probably wouldn't fit - didn't even try... besides, we were having too much fun on our quads. We have a lot of photo's to go through and upload along with our videos. Hopefully we will have those up soon, for our memories and your curiosity. There are 2 fun motocross tracks along with 2 beginner / kids tracks. There were riders on them so we just watched. The 2 MX tracks were a blast. The B track is short and tight, lots of tables and short, mild jumps, and wide corners that are great for sliding. The B track in marked extremely well with signage: wrong way, do not enter, and directions through the trees. Very well thought out and marked, much appreciated. The A track was also marked well, but only needs to be identified at the beginning, since there is only one way to get to it (NE corner of property), where the B track has several trails that lead up to it. The A track was long, only narrow in a few spots, great corners, full of tables and mild doubles, three different areas of split lines, and SO MUCH FUN! We wore ourselves out well, thank you Lakeview OHV for providing such a great place to ride! Definitely a place to check out and we are looking forward to going back as soon as we can.
