BADLANDS OFF-ROAD PARK - ATTICA, IN
June 9, 2023 - We loaded up the toys and made the 560 mile haul up to the Badlands for some fun. The Badlands, originated in the mid 90s, is located at 3968 N Xavier Road in Attica and is accompanied by Off The Trail (campground & rentals) and Attica Motorsports, providing pretty much all you'll need for a day or weekend of fun.
We enjoyed seeing all the campers and many vehicles riding in from the campground to the Badlands, and we were amazed at how many people were out there on a Thursday with us, it was great! SxS's were the majority of vehicles, followed by groups of quads - very fun, and some bikes. We did not explore the entire park; the SxS track and Turtle trail were closed during our visit, but it will be fun to check them out on our next trip. Trails are marked extremely well and go all over the place. There's a MX track, trails with varying terrain, a rock garden, bounty holes - deep and powerful suck zones, large puddles to play in, sand dunes, hill climbs, open terrain, an obstacle course, SxS track, plenty of ways to keep you and your group entertained. Before we headed out we asked for tips and were specifically warned about the depth of the mud holes, regardless of how tame they appear (we did not photo the guy we saw stuck but tried to round up some help for him.) Map layout and info in the slideshow along with their rules. Be in the know and show up prepared, you'll have a blast! LAWRENCE COUNTY RECREATIONAL PARK (LCRP) - SPRINGVILLE, IN
June 2024 - We heard about a place to checkout on our next trip up to Indiana, Lawrence County Recreational Park in Springville and this is from their website (LCRP): Come to the scenic hills of Lawrence County Indiana to experience OHV trails designed for riders, by riders. Featuring almost 400 acres of trails, rolling hills, meadows, wooded terrain, and ponds! Lawrence County Recreational Park is located at 99 Moore Lane in Springville, Indiana. 12 miles south of Bloomington, Indiana west of State Road 37 at the Judah stoplight (Old State Road 37). Take the first left past the Marathon gas station (follow the signs). We will definitely share our time there and post photos as soon as we can make the trip.
