BRM QUAD RACING HISTORY
After the retirement of our 1984 Honda 200 & 1983 Yamaha 200 3-Wheelers, we started racing our 1992 Yamaha Blasters in 1995 or 1996. At the time there weren't many options for quads to race and quite often we would be the only 2 quads for our moto's. Then the numbers grew! We were told we couldn't race unless there were 5 of us (quads). Well, the 'Open' class was formed. Our quad racing started with Arena Cross in Monroe, Washington and that spring we were racing at Horn Rapids in the Tri-Cities and in Battleground, Washington.
In early 2000 we moved from Washington to Arizona to pursue our dreams and were racing our 2000 Honda 400EX's, still in the 'Open' class but at least the class was now pretty respectable with approximately 9-12 racers every time. Quad racing began to grow here in the southwest and more tracks opened up and actually allowed us to practice.
We had the time of our lives racing in Arizona, California, and Washington in various race series: AZ MX, WORCS, Grinding Stone, AZOP, ITP, and Whiplash. Feel free to do a little bench racing with us and to see some old pix. We don't have any photo's from our early race years because we were busy racing and didn't have anybody to capture the moments for us.
